Just Add Ink # 481 – Inspiration Challenge

Well this weeks been a bit funny here…..at the beginning of the week, we had a very warm 38O and by the end of the week we were down to a freezing 17O!  From one extreme to the other, all in the space of a few days.  Luckerly I have had the Just Add Ink Inspiration Challenge to work on so have been able to hibernate (in my craft room) from the heat and cold.

I picked some of the colours out of the Inspiration picture and made a Thank you card.

Perhaps you might use the Inspiration Photo in your craft projects this week too.   Join us for this Challenge at Just Add Ink

Just Add Ink Challenge # 479 – Colour Combo!

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Colour Challenge.  The colours are soft and cool – I thought they were kind of beachy.  But I used them for a floral card.

I put some silver faceted gems in the centre of the flowers.  I really love how the shine.  What do you think?

Head on over to Just Add Ink and play along with this Challenge too.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 477 – Sketch Challenge

I’ve been playing with the Bird Ballard DSP this week.  I used it for the Just Add Ink Challenge this week.  We have a Sketch Challenge.

I turned the Sketch on it’s side for this pretty Birthday card:

I also made this card – with a similar layout, using the Bird Ballard DSP again.  Such pretty papersFollow the link to the Just Add Ink blog, to join us in this Challenge and to check out the Design Team cards using this Sketch.

Just Add Ink # 475 – Just Add Food!

Just Add Food, now here’s a fun Challenge!

I thought it may have meant “Have a few little treaties” while you are crafting and then I could show you a pic of a few empty lollie wrappers!!

Or perhaps I could package up some goodies?    And I found that I didn’t really have any foodie type stamps.

I then started thinking about pretty boxes that might be good for a “teenagers” gift – and this is what I came up with…… A Donut Box!!

I decided to make a card to go with it.

I really looking forward to see what everyone comes up with for their “Food” inspired projects this week.

For the Just Add Ink Challenge this week, you can Choose Two elements for your projects.  You can choose from Metallics – Twine – Washi Tape.   I chose Washi Tape and Metallics for my card.  Here it is:

No photo description available.

The pic is a little bluey – because I had fading light……but the card is really Black White and Silver.  It;s also quite hard to photograph the metallics.

You can choose Two and join this Challenge too.    Share your creations with us at Just Add Ink.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 471

At Just Add Ink this week we a running an “Inspiration” challenge.  It was suggested by Rachael.  The colours in the pic are lovely and I think it’s also kinda a Wintery pic too.  Here is the card I made for this Challenge:

JAI # 471 Chantell

I used a stencil and some Embossing paste in the background.  Then I repeat stamped the sentiment in different colours – I think its quite effective.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 469 – Colour Combo

It’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge.   Challenge # 469 is a Colour Challenge….

JAI # 469 colours

The colours a rich and bold and kinda earthy.   They were suggested by Di Barnes.

I used the new Celebrate with Cake stamp set for this Challenge.   The Stamp set is a lovely selection of solid stamps that can be used for various occasions.

JAI # 469 Chantell

I used both the Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile colours on the flowers.  I first inked the stamp up in the lighter Grapefruit Grove and then used a dauber to add a little Terracotta Tile to the tip of each flower, before I stamped it onto the card stock.

JAI # 469 c

I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers, which is hard to see in the pic of the full card.  You can see the Wink of Stella glitter in the pic above though.  This was because I was tilting it in the sun.

I also made another card with the colours and stamp set.   You can see it has similar elements – and features the Cake image, from the Celebrate with Cake Stamp set.

In this case, the cake is two toned and again there is Wink of Stella highlighting some of the sections of the card.JAI # 469 b
