Just Add Ink # 641 – Inspiration Challenge!

It’s been a busy week around here but I have still had time to put together a few cards. The cards I made this week all featured the same layout. It’s a Window card.

This week at Just Add Ink – we have an Inspiration Challenge. This means you use the Inspiration picture to inspire your cards or projects.

Here is the Window card I made for this Challenge

It’s kinda a beachy theme, with similar colours to the Inspiration pic. I added a rustic bow and an anchor charm.

When you open the card, it has a little fancy fold inside.

I really enjoyed making these Window cards. See below a few more.

As I said, it has been a busy week around here. First up my daughter had her Year 12 Ball.

It was quite a build up with all the shopping for the dress, shoes, accessories. Then Hair, makeup, nails and other beauty treatments.

Sarah looked amazing, so grown up! This is a pic of Sarah (in Red) with her friend Sharnae.

The following night we had a family outing to a Six60 Concert at Kings Park. It was a great night out with Neil and I, Sarah, Ana and her Aunty and Cousin and friends.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 514 – Colour Combo

Just Add Ink Challenge # 514 is a Colour Challenge. The colours are cool and fresh.

Here is the card that I made.

I coloured some Watercolour paper so that the colours all blended together. Once the paper had dried, I cut out some leaves. I also used the watercolour paper in the back ground.

I used the Forever Greenery dies for the Leaves and the Poppy Moments dies for the background.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 506 – Inspiration

No photo description available.

Well it’s time for the next Just Add Ink Challenge – which is an Inspiration Challenge.   For these Challenges, you can use the colours, shapes or a combination of the things you see to inspire your craft.

I used the colours in the pic to create a water colour background.   It’s quite abstract and bold.  I kept the rest of the card fairly simple and uncluttered.

Just Add Ink # 501 – Inspiration Challenge

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is an Inspiration Challenge.    It’s bright and bold.

For my card, I picked out the colours and some of the shapes from the Inspiration picture.   I used some Watercolour paper and dies to create some colourful shapes.

JAI # 501

First, I sprayed some watercolour paper (with water) and then stamped ink directly onto my largest acrylic block.  I spritzed the ink block with a little extra water and then stamped it onto the wet watercolour paper.   I really like how the inks all blend together to create unique designs.  I also like the effect of the colours against the white background.

Here are a couple of other versions that I made.

Image may contain: text

Here’s the next fun Just Add Ink Challenge, # 414, suggest by Nikki.   Just Add a Window or a Frame to your project.    This Challenge has endless possibilities because you could Frame something on your card, or make a Frames Scrap booking layout or add a view from or into a window………
Here is the card I made:

No automatic alt text available.

I really enjoyed doing the emboss resist with the water-colour wash over the top – I used 3 colours in similar tones.  Blushing Bride, Grapefruit Grove, Calypso Coral.  The flowers are from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set which I think is my new favourite.

So – dive through a frame or window into this challenge, share your creation with us at Just Add Ink.
