Just Add Ink Challenge # 645 – No Stamping

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is Just Add No Stamping!

I decided this Challenge was the perfect opportunity to make a fancy fold card.

I made an X Shaped Aperture Card, that I had seen online – made by Donna Rawhouser of Iced Images.

I used a filagree type die (that I found in my stash), a sentiment die and the Daisy Punch. I adjusted the measurements slightly too, so that the card fits into a Standard envelope.

I made another one using the New Horizons products as well.

These were fun to make and a great way to showcase your papers, dies and embellishments.

Just Add Ink # 637 – Sketch Challenge!

Hi there,

We are getting to the end of January 2023 already and I am starting to get into my Craft room. As usual, it’s in a state of disarray, but I have decided that just means, I’ve been creative!

This week I have been playing with the Beautifully Happy Stamp Set and Fancy Flora DSP.

I teamed them up with the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge to make a pocket card.

These papers are so great – some look floral while others look like abstract paintings. Great colours too.

The Beautifully Happy stamp set, works for me because it features Two-Step Stamping which means fun and fast colouring in. Fast, no fuss colouring in, is great.

Just Add Ink # 636 – Just Add Your Favourite!

Happy New Year!

It’s time for the first 2023 Just Add Ink Challenge. As usual, we are kicking the year off with a Blog Hop. The theme is Just Add Your Favourite!!

Your favourite thing may be a colour, a favourite crafting tool, paper, stamp set or perhaps you have a favourite layout or fancy fold. Or perhaps you have a favourite thing that is not necessarily craft related?

For me, I admit it……I’m a Bag Lady!! I love Bags! All sorts of Bags. Plastic, handbags, totes, back packs….you name it. Love em!

So for my project, I decided to make a bag. Also, my favourite colour is Blue…..so I made a Blue bag.

The Blog Hop also incorporates the Just Add Ink Challenge for this week. Follow the link to Just Add Ink to share your “Favourite” project with us.

The Blog Hop is set up in a loop so it doesn’t matter where you start.  All you need to do, to follow along, is click the “Next” Button at the end of each post and you will be taken to the next stop.

Make sure you hop around to see each of the Design Team’s projects. Next on the hop is the wonderful Kim Badelt. I’m sure Kim will inspire you with her “Favourite” project!

Happy Hopping!

Bron’s 60th Birthday Blog Hop # 4

CASEing the Catty, a Page in the Sixties

Today I am joining Bron Eastley’s 60th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop. We’re a group of stamping friends that are celebrating Bron’s 60th Birthday in 2022 with six blog hops, over six months, with six fun themes!  This is the forth Hop and the theme for our projects today is – CASEing the Catty, a Page in the Sixties.

CASEing from the Catty is such a great way to start a card or layout. I often tell crafters that the Catalogue is not just a Catalogue – but a source of inspiration and ideas.

I myself, often use the Catalogue when looking for Colour combinations, Embellishment ideas or layouts.

For this Blog Hop I have put together 3 cards.

From Page 61 I CASE’d this card.

Here is my version:

I used the Hues of Happiness DSP and the In the Moment Stamp Set (Ohh love that Stamp set).

The next two cards really pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone because they both feature bright and bold colours.

On page 62 you will find this packaging idea that I used for inspiration for my next card.

Here is my version:

I used Parakeet Party card as the base, Hues of Happiness DSP with the Plentiful Plants Stamp Set. Then finished it with the Tahitian Tide Metalic Woven Ribbon and Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots.

Page 65 features this mini card. I used both the layout and the colours to make a card.

Here is my card

I used the new Splendid Thoughts Stamp set and Splendid Stems dies – that just happen to be on Page 65 of the new Mini Catalogue (July-December 2022).

This was really fun! I think I will go off and CASE a few more cards from the 60’s pages. While I am doing that – you can head off to the next Crafter in Bron’s Blog Hop. Next up is Cathy Proctor. Click the link below to visit Cathy’s Blog.

Just Add Ink # 596 – Sketch Challenge

This week I have been making cards using this Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge.

I used the New Horizons DSP, which is so lovely just on it’s own.

I also created a card using the Home and Garden stamp set and dies.

If you follow this link to Just Add Ink you can join in the Challenge too – while also seeing other Design Team cards made by the Design Team.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 575 – Colour Challenge!

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is a colour Challenge. Pretty girly colours – Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Gold. So I made a Girly card with them.

I used the Dressed to Impress Stamp set and added some gold foil to a couple of spots. The background DSP also had gold in it too.

The fancy fold is an Arrow fold. It is quite easy and fun to make. I also made another colour version.

So try your hand at this pretty colour combo and share what you create with us at Just Add Ink

Just Add Ink # 573 – Sketch

This week I used the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set and the Expressions in Ink DSP, with the Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge to make this card.

The Expressions in Ink DSP is so lovely – it features an Alcohol Ink effect with touches of gold that really makes it glamourous.

I created a little window in the card and a tri-fold element inside to feature a few more tulips.

I think I will be using this sketch again to make a few more cards. You may want to do that too. Follow this link to Just Add Ink and share your projects with us, while also checking out the Design Team projects.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 571 – Lines!

I had fun with the Just Add Ink Challenge this week……Just Add Lines!

I had a number of idea’s – some of which I still might makes sometime soon, but I ended up making cards using a new die that I got recently.

The Lines that I added to my cards are “Wiggly Lines”

I used the Expressions in Ink DSP with 3 of the current In-colours – Pale Papaya, Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen.

This was a fun and colourful way to put some quick cards together.

Perhaps you might Add Lines to your projects this week and then share them with us at Just Add Ink. You can also follow the link to Just Add Ink to see how the Design Team have Added Lines.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 569 – Just Add “N”

Hi ya, we had a glimpse of Summer this week with a couple of really lovely warm sunny days. Unfortunately it was back to showers, wind and coldness again today. But hopefully, that won’t last for long. It did get me thinking, that it kinda went with my Just Add Ink card (theme) this week.

The Just Add Ink Challenge is Just Add N. That could mean anything starting with N – be it a stamp set, colour or theme.

For my card I decided on the theme of “Nature”. Here is my card:

I used the Forever Fern stamp set and Forever Greenery DSP (retired).

As I took a few pic’s of my card, I noticed how lovely some of the plants in the garden were looking. I even ended up taking a few pics of them too. Look at the colours and glossiness!

If you would like to Just Add N this week – share your projects with us at Just Add Ink.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 563 – Sketch Challenge

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is a Sketch Challenge.

I made a couple of cards using this Sketch.

For the first one, I made a panel with the Expressions in Ink DSP and Gilded Leafing. The Polish Pink card stock, Ink and Ribbon are bright and pretty.

For my next card I used DSP again. This time the Bloom Where Your’re Planted DSP. The featured plant was fussy cut from the DSP – so it was a quick and easy card.

And lastly, I used a couple of retired Stamp Sets to create a cute and fun little Snail card. I love the texture of the Embossing paste too.

Perhaps you will be inspired to use this Sketch for your projects this week too? Go to Just Add Ink and share your cards, 3d items or Scrapbook layouts with us.
