Just Add Ink # 641 – Inspiration Challenge!

It’s been a busy week around here but I have still had time to put together a few cards. The cards I made this week all featured the same layout. It’s a Window card.

This week at Just Add Ink – we have an Inspiration Challenge. This means you use the Inspiration picture to inspire your cards or projects.

Here is the Window card I made for this Challenge

It’s kinda a beachy theme, with similar colours to the Inspiration pic. I added a rustic bow and an anchor charm.

When you open the card, it has a little fancy fold inside.

To see more cards inspired by this Inspiration pic, follow this link to the Just Add Ink blog.

I really enjoyed making these Window cards. See below a few more.

As I said, it has been a busy week around here. First up my daughter had her Year 12 Ball.

It was quite a build up with all the shopping for the dress, shoes, accessories. Then Hair, makeup, nails and other beauty treatments.

Sarah looked amazing, so grown up! This is a pic of Sarah (in Red) with her friend Sharnae.

The following night we had a family outing to a Six60 Concert at Kings Park. It was a great night out with Neil and I, Sarah, Ana and her Aunty and Cousin and friends.

Bron’s 60th Birthday Blog Hop # 6

Beaches, Palm Trees, Fresh Juice and Cocktails, Sun, Sand and Relaxation……….sounds like a dream aye?

Today we celebrate our friend Bronwyn Eastley’s 60th Birthday. Happy Birthday Bron!

If you have been following my blog, you will know that I have been participating in Bron’s 60th Birthday Hops for the past 6 months. Bron’s original 60th Birthday celebrations did not go to plan so she came up with the fabulous idea of running a series of blog hops to celebrate. This is the last in the series.

Our final theme is Tropical Holiday!

Here is my Tropical Holiday card.

I’m sure Bron is doing something like this right now……Cocktails in the sun – enjoying beautiful scenery and family times.

Next up in the Blog Hop is the lovely Jan Clothier – follow this link to Jan’s Blog or click the next button below.

Bron’s 60th Birthday Blog Hop # 4

CASEing the Catty, a Page in the Sixties

Today I am joining Bron Eastley’s 60th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop. We’re a group of stamping friends that are celebrating Bron’s 60th Birthday in 2022 with six blog hops, over six months, with six fun themes!  This is the forth Hop and the theme for our projects today is – CASEing the Catty, a Page in the Sixties.

CASEing from the Catty is such a great way to start a card or layout. I often tell crafters that the Catalogue is not just a Catalogue – but a source of inspiration and ideas.

I myself, often use the Catalogue when looking for Colour combinations, Embellishment ideas or layouts.

For this Blog Hop I have put together 3 cards.

From Page 61 I CASE’d this card.

Here is my version:

I used the Hues of Happiness DSP and the In the Moment Stamp Set (Ohh love that Stamp set).

The next two cards really pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone because they both feature bright and bold colours.

On page 62 you will find this packaging idea that I used for inspiration for my next card.

Here is my version:

I used Parakeet Party card as the base, Hues of Happiness DSP with the Plentiful Plants Stamp Set. Then finished it with the Tahitian Tide Metalic Woven Ribbon and Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots.

Page 65 features this mini card. I used both the layout and the colours to make a card.

Here is my card

I used the new Splendid Thoughts Stamp set and Splendid Stems dies – that just happen to be on Page 65 of the new Mini Catalogue (July-December 2022).

This was really fun! I think I will go off and CASE a few more cards from the 60’s pages. While I am doing that – you can head off to the next Crafter in Bron’s Blog Hop. Next up is Cathy Proctor. Click the link below to visit Cathy’s Blog.

Just Add Ink # 607 – Choose Two!!

Hi ya,

I decided to play along with the Just Add Ink Challenge this week. I put a fun card together that I am going to send to one of my Friends.

To make this card – I choose some bold colours – Night of Navy, Mango Melody, Real Red and Crumb Cake. I then decided on the layout.

I used a stamp that I have had in my stash for a long long time. It’s perfect for this Challenge because it features both the Coffee Cup and Tea Cup, the Beans and the little Sugar cubes…..cute aye?

I am going to send this card to a friend of mine – she drinks tea and I drink coffee and we often get together to download the week we have both had.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 553 – Sketch Challenge

Well I have had a whirlwind couple of weeks – there has been alot happening – so this is a longish post.

First up, after almost 11 years I decided it was time for me to move on from Computershare. So I made the big move and handed in my notice. I finished my time off with a large meeting that I had been working on for several months.

As I was working my final week at Computershare, a travel bubble was announced between Australia and NZ…..just in the nick of time for me….. as my Dad’s 80th Birthday party was coming up!!

I flew off to NZ for 10 days – surprising Dad and my friends too!

Nadine and I did some lovely walks and spent a small amount of time crafting – including making a card for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. If you look closely in the pics below, you will see my card in progress.

Our brother Lloyd arrived from Sydney and then it was time to head to Dad’s and surprise him. The next few days were busy with party organisation while Dad and Lloyd made some gates for Dad’s back yard.

Then party day arrived and we had a great time. It was great to catch up with family, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. There was live music, a bowling competition (which we won!!) and lots of really great food.

In a cheeky moment I said to Sarah……do you know that I have an Aunty that looks like the Queen! Can you see her??

After a delayed flight Sarah and I returned to Perth safely (no quarantine required) which was very lucky and….just in the nick of time as I started a new job the following day.

First day on the new job I was issued with PPE including my new Boots. Cute aye?

And finally…here’s my card. I used a Sale-a-bration Stamp Set call A touch of Ink (now retired) with accents of Gold.

Follow this link to Just Add Ink to see the rest of the Design Team cards for this Sketch Challenge.

I made 2 versions – here is the other and also Dad’s Birthday card too.

Social Stamping – Baby!

The theme for this month’s Social Stamping Blog Hop is ‘Baby’.   It’s a perfect theme for Spring – with baby animals in the paddocks, pretty seasonal flowers or perhaps even in a new family member!

For me, it’s a new family member……exciting aye?

This is Khalil, who arrived at the end of June.  He is my nieces son.  My Brothers Grandson.

I also have a friend who is expecting a little girl shortly, so I have made 2 versions of my card….

As you can see…..it’s a bit tongue in cheek – funny. I did stamp a Congratulations sentiments inside the cards. So what do you think – can I get away with them??

Here is my brother, Lloyd and his daughter, Gabrielle with Khalil, shortly after he was born.

As you can see, my brother is the coolest Unky and Grandpa, so I made him a card too.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 508 – Just Add ‘F’

508

Hello,  I have been crafting with some new stamps this week.   The Just Add Ink Challenge is Just Add F – perfect for a new Floral Stamp Set!

JAI # 508

The stamp set I have used is called Celebrate Sunflowers – and you can guarantee you that this is the first of many cards to come using this stamp set.
The set has a couple of Sunflowers in it and the one I have used here, is the smaller one.

My card was inspired by a card that I received from my friend Helen.   Helen’s card sits up on a shelf where I see it every day.  It’s so bright and cheerful.

Helen and I first met in Telford, UK last year when we attended On Stage. We discovered that not only do share the same love of paper craft but we both live in WA, Australia. Funny huh?

It would be great if you joined us for this Challenge too.

There are loads of ways to Just Add F to your projects.  Some ideas are: Floral, Flowers, Friends, Furry Friends or Ferns.

Social Stamping – Friend

Image may contain: text

I’m have enjoyed being part of Kelly’s Social Stamping project over the past month and am playing along again this week.

The theme this week is “Friend”.   I must admit, it’s been strange not connecting with my friends, in the usual way over the past few weeks.   I’ve still stayed connected….just not face to face.  The cards I have put together this week will be sent to my friends in the next few days.

The first card I have made, is for a friend that love Pinks and Blues.  It’s using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set with Melon Mambo and Pacific Point Ink.   I used the Medium Daisy Punch to cut them out.

Then I made a couple of versions of a card I received from Carolyn Tullett recently.   Carolyn’s card is the Blue and Pink one below.  It’s so sweet, with lovely touches of glitter and tiny pearls.   It’s been sitting on my craft desk in front of me and I look at it daily.

So my versions of Carolyn’s card use the Beautiful Friendship Stamp set (Granny Apple Green / Mango Melody / Flirty Flamingo and the Floral Essence Stamp Set (Pumpkin Pie / Mango Melody / Night of Navy).

If you follow this link to Kelly’s Blog, you will find the Master List of all the Blogs participating in this fun Social Stamping session.

So – what`s been happening in lock down this week??  Well…..
1.   While quietly working at the kitchen table, I was visited by a little friend!
2.   I went to the local park for a walk / exercise…and I was the only one there!
3.   I decided to record (so I can remember) that all the play / exercise equipment is closed.
