Just Add Ink Challenge # 469 – Colour Combo

It’s time for another Just Add Ink Challenge.   Challenge # 469 is a Colour Challenge….

The colours a rich and bold and kinda earthy.   They were suggested by Di Barnes.

I used the new Celebrate with Cake stamp set for this Challenge.   The Stamp set is a lovely selection of solid stamps that can be used for various occasions.

I used both the Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile colours on the flowers.  I first inked the stamp up in the lighter Grapefruit Grove and then used a dauber to add a little Terracotta Tile to the tip of each flower, before I stamped it onto the card stock.

I added some Wink of Stella to the flowers, which is hard to see in the pic of the full card.  You can see the Wink of Stella glitter in the pic above though.  This was because I was tilting it in the sun.

I also made another card with the colours and stamp set.   You can see it has similar elements – and features the Cake image, from the Celebrate with Cake Stamp set.

In this case, the cake is two toned and again there is Wink of Stella highlighting some of the sections of the card.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 422 – Choose Two…

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Choose Two.  The things you can choose from this time all have something to do with Embossing.   There are several types of Embossing – and many many ways to use it in our projects – so this Challenge allows you to do that.

I have chosen to use Embossing Paste and Embossing Powder.

I used a new stencil I got a couple of weeks ago – I kinda think it looks Giraffeey.  What do you think?

Just Add Ink Challenge # 377 – Colour Challenge

Here’s a Colour Combo for you from Just Add Ink.  Challenge # 377.

 

Great colours – kinda beachy I thought? As you probably know, I love blue and blue features in my cards quite often – so I was quite keen on this colour combo.

Here is my project…..

I made a card wallet with lovely large colourful daisies on the outside.  Think this will work well for a Teachers gift.  I white embossed the flowers and used some Clear faceted gems in the centre of each flower to add a bit of bling.

Inside are some matching cards and envelopes (which I have not photographed yet).  I think this will make a nice little gift.

JAI # 346 Just Choose Two…….Hearts or Flowers or Butterflies

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week allows us to combine a couple of things for our projects.  The idea is to Choose Two!   Hearts or Flowers or Butterflies.  Here is the card I put together:

My idea was to try to use the pages from a colouring book in some way – so I die cut some Butterflies (and left them uncoloured).  I used a floral DSP to add some colour too.

Just Add Ink #330…Sketch!

It’s time for the new Just Add Ink Challenge and this week we have a sketch for you (put together by Kim). I decided to make a Christmas card.  I used the This Christmas DSP and the Candy Lane Washi Tape.

Just Add Ink #320…..Sketch Challenge!

Hi ya, it’s Friday and that means time for the next Just Add Ink Challenge.  This week we have a Sketch Challenge that has been created by Tina.    I idea is to use the sketch as inspiration when creating your next crafting project.  Here is the sketch:

I used the stamp set called Best Thoughts.  I large flower is a perfect focal point for any card and can be used in many ways.  I used Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder.  I highlighted the flower with my white gel pen.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 314 – Inspiration

Hi ya – its June already….can you believe it?   The year is flying by………it’s time for another fun Just Add Ink challenge too.  This week we have an Inspiration Challenge – provided by Di.  It’s a colourful fruity pic.

Just Add Ink # 298 – Just Add …. V!!

I know I know – it’s Valentines day!   And therefore Just Add … V is perfect……..but……I just don’t do Valentines!

So my Just Add V – Violet and Vellum……….and here is my card:

I started by making the Vellum flower then made the rest of the card.  The layout is one that I had seen used by Narelle Farrigua.  from the Just Add Ink Design Team.

Well it’s nearly the end of the week again – and what a week!  It’s all been about work work work for me.  I feel like I have hardly been at home and I’m so glad it’s Friday tomorrow.

So being Friday – that means a fresh new Just Add Ink Challenge – and it’s a fun one this week that I know everyone can have a go at.

Just Add your favourite 3 colours!

Here’s my card:

Due to my big week at work, I decided to go for something fairly simplistic.  The colours I choose are Real Red, Island Indigo (blue) and Old Olive.

I chose these colours because:
Red – I like to wear Red, it’s a bold, confident colour
Old Olive – Years ago, when I first was introduced to Stamping Up Old Olive was one of the first colours I purchased.  I find I used it a lot on my projects.  And LOL – I had an Old Olive Sweat Shirt that I used to wear on Carding nights – funny!
Island Indigo – it’s Blue and I like Blue.

Sometimes, producing a ‘Man Card’ can be hard to do.  I often ask my husband his opinion and if there is any hint of glitter or ribbon – he deems it “just tooooo girly”!

So this week at Just Add Ink we are sharing our Man Card ideas, for the Just Add Cards for Males Challenge.
