Well I have had a whirlwind couple of weeks – there has been alot happening – so this is a longish post.
First up, after almost 11 years I decided it was time for me to move on from Computershare. So I made the big move and handed in my notice. I finished my time off with a large meeting that I had been working on for several months.
As I was working my final week at Computershare, a travel bubble was announced between Australia and NZ…..just in the nick of time for me….. as my Dad’s 80th Birthday party was coming up!!
I flew off to NZ for 10 days – surprising Dad and my friends too!
Nadine and I did some lovely walks and spent a small amount of time crafting – including making a card for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. If you look closely in the pics below, you will see my card in progress.
Our brother Lloyd arrived from Sydney and then it was time to head to Dad’s and surprise him. The next few days were busy with party organisation while Dad and Lloyd made some gates for Dad’s back yard.
Then party day arrived and we had a great time. It was great to catch up with family, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. There was live music, a bowling competition (which we won!!) and lots of really great food.
In a cheeky moment I said to Sarah……do you know that I have an Aunty that looks like the Queen! Can you see her??
After a delayed flight Sarah and I returned to Perth safely (no quarantine required) which was very lucky and….just in the nick of time as I started a new job the following day.
First day on the new job I was issued with PPE including my new Boots. Cute aye?
And finally…here’s my card. I used a Sale-a-bration Stamp Set call A touch of Ink (now retired) with accents of Gold.

I made 2 versions – here is the other and also Dad’s Birthday card too.
The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge, suggested by Patrice – and it’s a goodie!
The card I made this week is for my special friend and colleague who returned to the office this week after 7 months of working from home. I’ve really missed her (even though we chatted each week) and am happy to see her back in the office.
I used the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Flowers for Every Season DSP.
I actually had a fun time with this sketch and made a few different cards. Here is a Christmas card I made using the Coming Home Stamps.
So if you would like to join this Sketch Challenge, go to Just Add Ink and share your project with us.
Over the past week I have been playing with a new stamp set and making a card for this weeks Just Add Ink Sketch Challenge. The Stamp Set I used is Beautiful Moments. This set is Jacque Williams (NZ) Milliion $$ Sales Achiever Stamp Set. It was Jacque that introduced me to Stampin Up and I have been waiting to see Jacque’s stamp set. As soon as I saw these stamps I thought….now they remind me of Jacque. They are lovely and are great for watercolouring and masking techniques.
Here’s my card:
I added some Wink of Stella to the dress to give it a bit of sparkle.
I actually made a couple of versions of the card, with different ribbon options and slightly different colours too.
Here’s, another card I made this week that was inspired by the Just Add Ink Sketch. I created the frame by masking off to Oval and stamping the spots. I used a masking technique again, when stamping the sentiment.

I’m on holiday from work at the moment, so that means there’s time to spend pottering and creating in my craft room.
I find that my craft room gets pretty messy at times and can be a dumping ground for loads of household items too. So last week I worked on cleaning up a few areas. Here’s a ‘Before’ and ‘After’ pic of one of the area’s.
This week, I have been crafting. It’s been great…..really enjoyable!
I decided to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge # 416
I made several cards using this Sketch. Here are a couple of them.
Both of these cards are using the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. The colours are Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Basic Black, Old Olive and Pear Pizzaz.
The Sequins and DSP (in the background of the second card) are also part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite.
The DSP is LOVELY – and I can guarantee you that you’ll be seeing more of it on my blog.
These products are all in the newly launched 2020 January-June Mini Catalogue. Visit my Online store to get your Painted Poppies.
Here is the last Just Add Ink Challenge for 2019. It’s a Sketch Challenge and has been suggested by Jackie.
I thought this Sketch was perfect for a Christmas card. I cut some Baubles out of red and silver glimmer paper. They are super sparkly – which I really like. I used a stripy and dotty foil paper for the background.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas, relax, create and enjoy some fun peaceful time with your families.
This Challenge runs for two weeks and closes on 1 January. So follow this like to Just Add Ink. There you can join the Challenge and see what the Design Team made to provide you with inspiration.
In April, I contacted, met and then crafted with Lotte Noordzij-Walther of A-Lotte-Stamping-Fun. The card I made for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge was one that I made when I was Stamping with Lotte.
The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge.
Here is my card……I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set (which is one I had not used before). It has lots of lovely Butterflies that can be coloured so many different ways. I also used some vellum to make some delicate leaves.
How do you like the grass in the background?? It’s actually our back lawn which is so lush and long and green at the moment. Being Winter here in WA everything is green rather than the usual sunburnt brown.
Lucky for me, Lotte also had the matching Butterfly punch for these images which saved me from fussy cutting.

Let me show you the lovely Birthday card that Lotte gave me. The pic does not show it well, because you can’t see the glitter on the #50. As you can see this card not only celebrated my Birthday but also my time in Rotterdam and the Netherlands. I frequently went Windmill hunting and adored Tulip Hunting too. It also reminds me of the wonder time I spent crafting with Lotte and makes me wish we lived closer to each other so we could craft together again.
