Just Add Ink # 630 – Inspiration Challenge!

Just Add Ink have an Inspiration Challenge this week.

At first glance – I guess because of the colour – I thought this was Christmasy.

But then I saw it was kinda a Country theme. The collection of lots of different sized images really grabbed me though – so that was the direction I went in with my card.

I used a variety of Stamp Sets to put together a collage of images. Staying with a very simplistic colour palette. This was a quick and easy card to make and could be re-created in any colour.

Just Add Ink # 629 – Wings!

As soon as I saw this Just Add Ink Challenge I knew exactly what I was going to put on my card.

Earlier this year, my sister and I went crafty shopping and then spent several days crafting.

Here we are in the craft shop……can you tell my sister is really excited!

Funny thing is – even Dad came home with a bag of Crafty goodies!

One of the crafty items Nadine brought home was a delightful little Fairy die. I cut a few Fairies and have had them in my pile of ‘cut outs’ till now.

Here is the card I made:

I borrowed this layout and the colours from Page 54 of the July – December 2022 Mini Catalogue.

I used Fresh Freesia card stock and Ribbon. Such a pretty colours.

Just Add Ink # 628 – Colour Challenge

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is a Colour challenge. The colours are quite bold and I must admit, I found them quite Challenging.

I used blending brushes to make a couple of cards. The first one features the Sending Smiles stamp set in a silhouette style.

For the second card I created a little scene using the On the Horizon stamp set and dies. On both cards, I used the pretty petal pink rhinestones.

Just Add Ink # 624 – Diorama!

It’s time for the next Just Add Ink Challenge – and this is a fun one!

Just Add a Diorama Card.

I made a 2-layer diorama card, using a similar blended background to my last Just Add Ink card. It’s a Holiday theme with the little caravan die.

Just Add Ink # 622 – Choose Two

It’s a long Weekend here in Perth, starting with the National Day of Mourning (for the Queen) on Thursday and ending with Monday off work because of the WA Queens Birthday Holiday. So with 5 days off the Theme of my card this week is very fitting.

I made this card for the Just Add Ink Choose Two Challenge. The elements to choose from are Friends, Foliage and Masking.

I choose Masking and Foliage. I used an array of colours to make a masked Scene. I also masked off the work “Relax” so that is stands out nicely.

This was fun to make and needed very little embellishment.

Now it’s your turn to Choose Two…….Friends, Foliage or Masking!
Give it a go and share it with us at Just Add Ink.

Just Add Ink # 620 – Inspiration

Just Add Ink have an Inspiration Challenge this week. This is a really lovely pic. I really like the blue glass container and the bold golden flowers.

I used the colours in the pic along with a cool new Stencil (that my sister brought me) to create this card.

BTW – Such a fun Stencil….you might be seeing a bit of it!

Just Add Ink # 616 – Sketch Challenge

Just Add Ink have a Sketch Challenge this week. Having a sketch is a great way to start a card. The sketch is your guide but you can flip it, turn it or even reverse it to make it suit your needs.

I made a couple of cards with this Sketch in mind.

For my first card, I masked off a circle and the used the Blending Brushes to make a Sunburst. The stamps and dies are from the Sending Smiles Bundle.

For my second card I used the Tulip Fields stamp set and dies. (retired)

Just Add Ink # 614 – Under the Sea

When I saw this Challenge come up I instantly knew what I was going to make. I had actually been thinking about it for a while – even before the Challenge.

I made a milestone Birthday Card for my BIL Rob. He turned the Big 5-0 recently. Rob has a wonderful saltwater Fish Tank that has a great display of Coral, Urchins and colourful fish. Whenever, we visit I spend ages looking at the creatures inside. I especially love the Clown Fish.

Here is the card I made for Rob.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 612 – Choose Two

This week we have a “Choose Two” Challenge at Just Add Ink that Di suggested. This idea is to include either Fur, Clouds or Stitching on your projects.

For my card, I decided on Stitching and Clouds.

To be honest, I was a bit stuck with this card. After using the Blending Brushes to make a few cloud panels – cutting them up into different arrangements I still could not settle on a card design. So I pulled out my Catalogue and picked a page. I saw a cute little card on Page 18 that inspired both my layout and colours.

I used the Hippest Hippos Stampset and the Stitched Greenery Die. The flowers and leaves are made with the Pierced Blooms Dies.
