Just Add Ink # 634 – Anything but a Card!

Hi ya,

For me, Stampin Up has always been about Connection! Stampin Up has helped me to meet new people, connect with my community and make some wonderful friends. And this weeks Challenge is another story of Connecting with Stampin up.

The Challenge this week is Just Add Anything but a card!

To explain the connection further…..a couple of weeks ago I attended the Stampin Up On Stage local event here in Perth. Had a lovely day and came home with some great new things, Stamp Sets, ideas, new friends made (connections) and a lovely new little Stampin Up bag.

Then the following weekend I had my work “End of Year Function”. I had a new Blouse/Top to wear….needed a handbag……Oh I know – the Stampin Up one is the perfect colour! So off I went for a night out.

When I got there – I started chatting to a lady from our Perth office (that I had not met before). Having a great time….and then I noticed she was also wearing a new Stampin Up bag! Now normally, if you turned up somewhere and found you were wearing the same gear as someone else, you’d cut and run – right! But not this time!

I said to her……I know what you did last weekend! She’s like……Pardon???

So I flashed my bag!! CONNECTION!!

That was it – a new friend!

A short time later, my new Stampin Up Friend / Work colleague pulled a cute little Wine Glass Charm out of her bag and gave it to me. Loved it! So fun – I had to have a go at making some Charms too.

The Wine Glass Charms worked perfectly for this Challenge. I made a few of them and then created a box for them to go in.

Such a fun project to make – will definitely be making more.

Christmas, Just Add Ink

Just Add Ink # 632 – Choose Two

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Choose Two Challenge. The idea is to choose from Deer, Trees or Sparkle for your projects.

I put together a Christmas Card with a Sparkly Tree on it. I used a variety of items both new and retired for this card.

Challenges, Christmas, Sketch Challenge

Just Add Ink # 626 – Sketch!

It’s Sketch Challenge time at Just Add Ink.

I used the Sketch to create a couple of Christmas Cards. I started by stamping a background panel using the Christmas Season stamp set. I ended up cutting the panel in half to create the 2 cards.

I finished the top of the first card with a stenciled panel, some metalic gold pearls and the lovely Real Red sheer ribbon.

On the second card, I embossed the bottom panel and added a wooden textured element.

These cards were fun to make and my first Christmas cards for the year.

Just Add Ink # 585 – Christmas Gift Packaging!

This week I have been putting together a few little Christmas gifts which worked well with the Just Add Ink Challenge – Just Add Christmas Gift Packaging.

It’s the last JAI Challenge for 2021. The Challenge runs for 2 weeks…..and then the JAI girls will have a short Christmas break.

I used a selection of DSP and Vellum. The DSP is from a couple of different packs (now retired). To decorate the boxes, I used the Poinsettia Petals Stamp set and Real Red Faux Linen Ribbon.

So – here is the link to Just Add Ink, so you can check out more Christmas packaging ideas from the Design Team. You can also share your projects there too.

Just Add Ink # 583 – Sketch Challenge!

Hi Everyone, I hope you have had a great week? I have spent some of the week making a few Christmas cards. It’s always fun to go through your crafting stash to see what Christmas stamps and craft supplies you have….and then put together several different card designs. I don’t know about you – but I tend to get through quite a bit of Red and Green cardstock at this time of year!

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is a Sketch Challenge.

I flipped the sketch over and made a Snowy Christmas Santa scene. In this case, I actually raided my friend Sandie’s stash of Christmas dies (trees and Santa Sleigh).

For the background a inked up a dotty embossing folder. The ink on the embossing folder transferred to the cardstock when I ran it through the embossing machine.

I put a bit of “Wink of Stella” onto the trees, which you can’t really see in the photo…..so here is another pic below that shows the glitter. I am holding it up in the sun shine.

I realised as I was writting this post, that I made a wintery snow scene – even though the weather here is quite the opposite. This week our weather has heated up quite a bit – we have even had a couple of really hot days (like 40 degrees).

Just Add Ink Challenge # 536 Inspiration

This week at Just Add Ink we have an Inspiration Challenge:

I looked around for a Snowman…….but it’s summer here, so there are no Snowmen around.

And then, I got a surprise card in the post…….. Love getting Happy Mail!! Thank you Nadine.

Hmmm – sorry, not a very good pic…..can’t believe both my pics were taken at the same time, yet the light is so different!

I decided to use the layout of this card for the Challenge. I used the Poinsettia Dies and DSP. Here is my card:

Just Add Ink Challenge # 534 – Color Combo

This is how I feel this week….and it’s because Meeting Season 2020 is done and dusted. So I’m in Happy Celebration mode…….tired but happy!!

Well, not many days left till Christmas now……and what better way to create Christmas cards, than with a Christmas inspired Colour Challenge.

These colours have been suggested by Nikki – they are fun, festive and traditional.

For my card this week I have used the Sweetest Time stamp set and the very pretty Real Red Sheer Ribbon.

To check out more Christmas Cards inspired by these colours go to Just Add Ink. You can also join us for this Challenge by sharing your projects with us.

Just Add Ink # 531 – Inspiration Challenge

I’m playing along with Just Add Ink, where we have an Inspiration Challenge this week.

I used the trees from the Coming Home stamp set and the Flowers For Every Season DSP to create this Christmas card.

I actually had a wonderful weekend stamping. I made over 20 cards in total and loved every minute of it. Here are a couple of others I made while exploring this theme.

We would love you to join us for this Inspiration Challenge – so here is the link to Just Add Ink, where you can see what the Design Team has made as well as share you project with us.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 528 – Choose Two

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Choose Two Challenge. You can choose from Sequins, Ribbon or Metallic Foil.

I realise now that I am looking at my card that I managed to include all three of those things on my card. I was actually going for Metallic Foil and Sequins but then felt like it needed some ribbon.

The back ground paper that I used is the Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. I really love the effect and feel of the paper.

I also made another version with a White back ground.

Head on over to Just Add Ink to participate in this challenge and check out all the wonderful Design Team projects.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 526 – Inspiration Challenge.

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is an Inspiration Challenge. Look at that pic!! The Mushrooms are so vibrant – who would have thought you would find colours like that in Fungas!

This inspired me to make a Christmas Card. The Mushrooms reminded me of bold baubles hanging on a Christmas Tree.

My baubles aren’t quite as vibrant as those in the Inspiration pic and in my photo you can’t quite see the shimmery glitter spray I have on them.

I hope you can join in this Inspiration Challenge. Visit Just Add Ink to join us and see the other projects made by the Design Team.
