This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is a Colour Challenge. The colours are bright and summery. Here is the card I made.
I created a background panel by tapping my ink pad directly onto the card stock. For the smaller panel I spritzed the cardstock with water and then washed it with an inked water painter. To finish the card off I added some little Brushed Brass Butterflies.

This week I have been playing with a mix of old (retired) and new products. Well actually….if I was being truthful I’d have to say I have actually been crocheting…..with a little bit of paper craft on the side.
For the Just Add Ink Challenge this week I created a garden scene using the new Home and Garden Dies and stamps together with the retired Sheltering Tree Stamp set.
The Challenge was a Choose Two Challenge – the categories being, Texture, Patterned Paper and Layers.
I chose Layers and Texture.
I added texture to the background with an embossing folder. It is quite hard to see in the pic but I have embossed Clouds there.
To finish it all off I added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies – that are so cute!! I thought they were too nice to use…….haha but they were perfect for this card.

Well I have had a whirlwind couple of weeks – there has been alot happening – so this is a longish post.
First up, after almost 11 years I decided it was time for me to move on from Computershare. So I made the big move and handed in my notice. I finished my time off with a large meeting that I had been working on for several months.
As I was working my final week at Computershare, a travel bubble was announced between Australia and NZ…..just in the nick of time for me….. as my Dad’s 80th Birthday party was coming up!!
I flew off to NZ for 10 days – surprising Dad and my friends too!
Nadine and I did some lovely walks and spent a small amount of time crafting – including making a card for this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge. If you look closely in the pics below, you will see my card in progress.
Our brother Lloyd arrived from Sydney and then it was time to head to Dad’s and surprise him. The next few days were busy with party organisation while Dad and Lloyd made some gates for Dad’s back yard.
Then party day arrived and we had a great time. It was great to catch up with family, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. There was live music, a bowling competition (which we won!!) and lots of really great food.
In a cheeky moment I said to Sarah……do you know that I have an Aunty that looks like the Queen! Can you see her??
After a delayed flight Sarah and I returned to Perth safely (no quarantine required) which was very lucky and….just in the nick of time as I started a new job the following day.
First day on the new job I was issued with PPE including my new Boots. Cute aye?
And finally…here’s my card. I used a Sale-a-bration Stamp Set call A touch of Ink (now retired) with accents of Gold.

I made 2 versions – here is the other and also Dad’s Birthday card too.
Hello, here in WA (where I am) it’s a glorious sunny day today, with clear blue skies. Just lovely! The Social Stamping “Sunshine” Theme, fits today perfectly.
For my Sunshine card, I gathered together an array of Yellow papers and made a Sunburst panel.
The sentiment I used comes from the Share Sunshine digital stamp set. It’s a one-off PDF download that Stampin’ Up! has designed to raise money to support Covid-19 related charities.
It has HEAPS of fun sentiments (appropriate for our current situation) that can be used on cards or scrap book pages that you are creating.
Things like “Sending love & Paper Hugs” or “There’s No Place Like Home (for now) or the one I have used on my card today….. Sending joy and sunshine, not germs.
The PDF is $12 US dollars which is converted into your local currency. When purchasing, make sure you select the correct language version for you! I don’t receive any commission from the sale of this PDF all the money will go to the relevant charities
While hanging at home recently, I have really enjoyed being part of the Social Stamping Blog Hosts that have been put together by my friend Kelly. Click on the linked words to check out other Social Stampers projects.
The next Social Stamper on the list is another lovely friend of mine, Jan McQueen. To see what Jan has made you can click the next button below.
Here’s another Sunburst style card I made recently in a Class.
The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a fun Choose Two challenge (suggested by Jan). So that means you can ‘Choose Two’ out of the three options Embossing Paste, Colouring or Sequins to feature on your project.
I choose the Embossing Paste and Sequins – although now when I look at it………I have all three on there. LOL.
I coloured the Embossing Paste with my re-inkers and then mushed them together to get the colours mixing. The Butterfly comes from the Sale-a-brations Botanical Butterfly DSP

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is all about adding Vellum. Vellum is a great addition to cards and 3D projects. On my card today, I have die cut some leaves as an embellishment. My card is a CASE of a card from the current Stampin Up Annual Catalogue 2018-2019…..see page 9.
And below…..see my take on the card. Die cutting shapes with Vellum is a fun way to add it to your projects.
Looking back – I have used Vellum in my Just Add Ink Challenges for some time.
Below is the card I made in Just Add Ink Challenge # 2! I used the Vellum to make some flower petals…..
The challenge was to Just Add Hearts – so my idea was to have flower petals look like they were flying off and making Heart shapes.
The Just Add Ink Challenge this week allows us to combine a couple of things for our projects. The idea is to Choose Two! Hearts or Flowers or Butterflies. Here is the card I put together:
My idea was to try to use the pages from a colouring book in some way – so I die cut some Butterflies (and left them uncoloured). I used a floral DSP to add some colour too.
So go to Just Add Ink and check out all the great projects that also Just Add Two (Hearts, Flowers or Butterflies). And remember to share your project with us.
The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is “Just Add S” – suggested by Tina.
There are so many possibilities for this Challenge such as -Stamping, Scrunching, Stitching, Sponging, Stripes, Spots, Stars etc.
For my ‘S’ project, I chose to make a starburst with Designer Series Paper. It’s a great way to use up all those little scraps of paper and is fun to do.
