Just Add Ink Challenge # 539

Hi ya,

I can’t believe it’s the end of January already……how did that happen?

School Holidays almost over again, as it’s back to School next week. I’ve had a great week, with a couple of days off work, soaking up a bit of sun and enjoying time at an Adventure Water Park.

Now it’s time to Craft……

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is Just Choose Two – Banner -Border-Bow. My card this week actually features all of those things….Whoops! Didn’t plan that but when I finished putting it together I realised I had all three elements there.

The Stampin Up Products I have used on this card all come from the Fine Art Floral Suite. I even played with Gilded Leafing – which is so much fun and really effective too.

Then on the inside of the card…..you see my Banner!

So – head on over to Just Add Ink, to see what the rest of the Design Team have put together. You can also go there to share your Just Add Two project with us.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 536 Inspiration

This week at Just Add Ink we have an Inspiration Challenge:

I looked around for a Snowman…….but it’s summer here, so there are no Snowmen around.

And then, I got a surprise card in the post…….. Love getting Happy Mail!! Thank you Nadine.

Hmmm – sorry, not a very good pic…..can’t believe both my pics were taken at the same time, yet the light is so different!

I decided to use the layout of this card for the Challenge. I used the Poinsettia Dies and DSP. Here is my card:

To join this Challenge or see other Cards from the Design Team, pop on over to Just Add Ink. We will be running this Challenge for two weeks and then will be taking a short break before kicking off 2021 with a Blog Hop.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Just Add Ink Challenge # 532 – Sketch Challenge

Hey – it’s Friday…… and that means a new Just Add Ink Challenge – this week, we have a Sketch Challenge.

Here’s my card. I have used a new Stamp Set called Enjoy the Moment.

This card was really hard to photograph – and I think it looks better in real life.

Here is another card I made at the same time – I have used the same colours (Night of Navy, Soft Sea Foam, Soft Suede) and stamp set.

So – head over to Just Add Ink to check out the lovely Just Add Ink Design Team projects and share yours with us.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 528 – Choose Two

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Choose Two Challenge. You can choose from Sequins, Ribbon or Metallic Foil.

I realise now that I am looking at my card that I managed to include all three of those things on my card. I was actually going for Metallic Foil and Sequins but then felt like it needed some ribbon.

The back ground paper that I used is the Plush Poinsettia specialty paper. I really love the effect and feel of the paper.

I also made another version with a White back ground.

Head on over to Just Add Ink to participate in this challenge and check out all the wonderful Design Team projects.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 526 – Inspiration Challenge.

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is an Inspiration Challenge. Look at that pic!! The Mushrooms are so vibrant – who would have thought you would find colours like that in Fungas!

This inspired me to make a Christmas Card. The Mushrooms reminded me of bold baubles hanging on a Christmas Tree.

My baubles aren’t quite as vibrant as those in the Inspiration pic and in my photo you can’t quite see the shimmery glitter spray I have on them.

I hope you can join in this Inspiration Challenge. Visit Just Add Ink to join us and see the other projects made by the Design Team.

Social Stamping – Baby!

The theme for this month’s Social Stamping Blog Hop is ‘Baby’.   It’s a perfect theme for Spring – with baby animals in the paddocks, pretty seasonal flowers or perhaps even in a new family member!

For me, it’s a new family member……exciting aye?

This is Khalil, who arrived at the end of June.  He is my nieces son.  My Brothers Grandson.

No description available.

I also have a friend who is expecting a little girl shortly, so I have made 2 versions of my card….

As you can see…..it’s a bit tongue in cheek – funny. I did stamp a Congratulations sentiments inside the cards. So what do you think – can I get away with them??

Here is my brother, Lloyd and his daughter, Gabrielle with Khalil, shortly after he was born.

As you can see, my brother is the coolest Unky and Grandpa, so I made him a card too.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 524 – Colour ChallHi enge

Hi ya, hope your week is going well? I’ve had a busy one and am looking forward to the long weekend that is coming. I’m sure I’ll be spending some time in the Craft room.

Today I am sharing the card I made for the new challenge at Just Add Ink. We have a Colour Challenge this week, that has been suggested by Jo.

I used the colours to make a soft pastel Christmas card. I used several different die sets – Tasteful Labels, Sweetest Boarders, Poinsettia Dies and Playful Alphabet. The White dots are All The Trimmings Embellishment’s.

The Design Team have created a range of stunning cards for this Challenge. Go to Just Add Ink to check them out. We’d love you to have a go at this Challenge and share your creations with us.

Social Stamping – Celebrate

Here we are for this months Social stamping blog host, organised by Kelly Kent. The Theme for this month is Celebrate.

With everything that 2020 has brought, some might say there is not a lot to Celebrate. But amongst it all, I hope we can all find some thing.

The card I have made for todays Blog Host, is for a lady who will Celebrate a milestone soon.

I used the All Dressed Up products for this card. I like how the sentiment came out, with this sequins around it. It reminds me of a mirror with lights around it.

Next up is Lou, click the button below to continue to Celebrate with us.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 516 – Inspiration

This weeks Just Add Ink Challenge is an Inpiration Challenge. That means you can take elements from the picture above to inspire what ever you create.

I picked up on the colours and circles within the picture.

Here is the card I made:

I decided to use the Forever Fern and Tasteful Touches Stamp set and created a bokeh effect window.

The Just Add Ink Design Team have put together some beautiful cards using this Inspiration picture. Go and check them out here – and don’t forget to have a go at this Challenge yourself.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 515 – Mixed Media

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is Mixed Media. As soon as I saw this Challenge I decided I wanted to put together a Canvas that will sit on an Easel, on my Craft desk.

The term “ mixed media” is quite broad and covers many types of arts and crafts. It can include collages, 3D elements, altered objects like books, boxes or tags. You can use pretty much anything when putting together a Mixed Media art work or card. Paints, paper, buttons, fabric, photos, brads, ribbons, chip board, inks, air dried clay and the list goes on.

I found an old canvas that I had lying around, and painted over whatever was on it, with some white paint. Then started to add all the different layers.

Embossing paste to create a bit of rustic texture, Stamped images and sponged ink, splatters of ink here and there, a bit of Vegas Gold Shimmer paint, DSP, Brusho’s, Wooden embellishments, die cuts of Sun Flowers and leaves, a metal brad, braided linen trim and punched Daisies.

While I was making the canvas, I also decided to make a similar card.

Visit us at Just Add Ink to join in this Challenge, share your Mixed Media projects with us and see the wonderful Mixed Media projects the Design Team have made.

Below are a couple more of my Mixed Media projects. On the left is a mix of Powertex, Chip board, air-dried clay, stenciling covered with Alchemy Art Waxes. On the right is a Powertex Triptych
