Just Add Ink # 392 – Blog Hop – Just Add Something New!

January 18, 2018

Happy New Year everyone – 2018 is here!!

There is no better way to kick off the year, than with a Blog Hop.

The 2018 Just Add Ink Blog Hop theme is Just Add Something New.

So that means…. What’s new in your craft area?  It might be some paper, colours or pencils or something you haven’t used before.   This is going to be a fun challenge with endless possibilities.  We hope you will join the challenge with us.

When looking through my craft area I found quite a few things I had not used before and a couple of new things too.   My Just Add Something New items come from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.   I’ve used the Sunshine and Rainbows Stamp Set and Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies.

I used them to put together an Easel card.

I wanted the Rainbow to stick up above the clouds, as if it’s in the air.  This was a fun card to make.

The Blog Hop is set up in a loop so it doesn’t matter where you start.  All you need to do is to follow along is click the “Next” Button at the end of each persons post and you will be taken to the next stop.  Remember the Blog Hop also incorporates the Just Add Ink Challenge for this week.  You can join in this weeks challenge by making a project that includes something New from your Craft area.

So – here we go, now it’s time for you to move onto the next Just Add Ink Design Team Member.  Just click on the button below and you will move onto the lovely Narelle’s Blog.No automatic alt text available.

Enjoy the Blog Hop, gather inspiration and then join us for this Challenge at Just Add Ink.

This Just Choose Two Challenge was suggested by Kim and runs for two weeks until 3rd January 2018.

The Choose Two items don’t have to be used for a Christmas project though.  Go to Just Add Ink to see other inspirational projects by the Design Team and to share your project with us.

Just Add Ink # 385 Sketch Challenge

November 9, 2017

Oh my goodness…….where on earth did October go??    Or perhaps you were wondering where I had gone??    Either way, a month has passed…..but I am back now with the new Just Add Ink Challenge.

Challenge # 385 is a Sketch Challenge…….here it is.

No automatic alt text available.

I made a card using the Beautiful You stamp set.  I took my colour combo inspiration from the colours in the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.   I have been wanting to use these for some time – not only are they sparkly but also different sizes and great colours.

Here’s closer look at the sequins…….pretty aye??
This is a great sketch – so go to Just Add Ink and check it out.  The Design Team have some great projects to share with you and you can play along too.

Just Add Ink Challenge # 377 – Colour Challenge

September 14, 2017

Here’s a Colour Combo for you from Just Add Ink.  Challenge # 377.

Great colours – kinda beachy I thought? As you probably know, I love blue and blue features in my cards quite often – so I was quite keen on this colour combo.

Here is my project…..

I made a card wallet with lovely large colourful daisies on the outside.  Think this will work well for a Teachers gift.  I white embossed the flowers and used some Clear faceted gems in the centre of each flower to add a bit of bling.

Inside are some matching cards and envelopes (which I have not photographed yet).  I think this will make a nice little gift.

To check out heaps of other projects using these colours, go to Just Add Ink as see what the Design Team have been up too.  And then join in with this challenge too!

Just Add Ink Challenge # 373 Just Add Stencils!!

August 17, 2017

Hi, here’s the next Just Add Ink challenge!   Karren suggested we use Stencils for Challenge # 373.

Image may contain: text
There are so many different Stencil designs to choose from and there are so many different ways to use them too.  I use them quite a bit – love them actually.  You can sponge them with ink (or use a dauber), smear them with embossing paste or glitter or spritz paint over them.

For my stencil card, I decided to make a background using a Stencil that has bold flowers and leaves.

I added some vellum, cord and the new Happy Birthday die cut sentiment to finish it off.

So go to Just Add Ink and check out all the other Stencil ideas and then share yours with us at Just Add Ink too.

Just Add Ink # 367 – Colour Combo

July 6, 2017

Hey, the new Just Add Ink Challenge is here….it’s a Colour Challenge!

No automatic alt text available.

This challenge was suggested by Patrice – and I think is quite challenging.  For my card – I did not have much in the way of Lemon Lime Twist – but did have some card stock.  So I used a re-inker to colour some Embossing paste and a stencil to create my background.  Then I used the pocket stamp from Pocket Full of Sunshine to create a frame.

I spread out some of the Copper Trim to create my embellishment.

Here is the link to Just Add Ink, so you can check out all the other Design Team cards / projects and also share your cards, layouts or 3D projects with us.
