JAI # 263 – Just Add Weddings!

Hello….it’s been a while huh?

I don’t even know when I posted something last.  But I am back now.

So time for a new Just Add Ink Challenge.  This week it is Just Add Weddings!  And it’s a great Challenge to get back into the swing of things.  I thought – I did not have many Wedding things in my craft area…..but now I think I do.  I made a card using some Stamps I have had for a long long time.  They are called Jessica and Jack.  They are quite versatile because you can dress them and accessorize them to fit any occasion.  Here is my Wedding card with Jack and Jessica…..

Over the last few weeks I have also been working on making a Topiary Tree – which I also think fits this challenge quite well.  It took a long time to make all those flowers but I was happy with the overall effect.

I must say…..initially I was Challenged by these colours………..well – isn’t that what it’s all about?
But once I got underway, you just couldn’t stop me!

I made a little gift box with 4 little cards inside.   This project was inspired by my friend Kim – who had made something similar for me a little while ago.

DSC00098 DSC00099 DSC00100 DSC00110 DSC00102Then each of the cards were inspired by other stampers – Narelle Farrugia, Rita Wright, Lisa Martz and others although I do not remember now where the ideas originated from.

So share your Colour Challenge creations with us at Just Add Ink.

Hello 2015!!

Happy New Year, Welcome to 2015!

Not only is this my first post for 2015 – it’s also my first post for quite some time.

I last posted about the Swan View Show 15/11/14 (which was a bit of fun) and Just Add Texture on 13/11/14.  Pretty much since then I have not done any carding or paper-craft at all.

I spent November/December and part of January in NZ with my Mum as she has been unwell.

Within a day of arriving in NZ, and sitting at the hospital with Mum, I said to my sister……”I HAVE to go to a Craft shop and get something to do”!!

A few balls of wool, a crochet hook and many hours at Mum’s bedside later – a blanket appeared.  Quite pleased with it too.

So, I am now back in Perth, back to work and back in the Craft room.  I must say, I have been enjoying a few nights of quiet crafting in the last week or so.

I hope you all have had a lovely Christmas / Holiday break and are looking forward to sharing great crafty projects and challenges this year.

JAI # 236 – Inspiration Challenge

Hi Everyone,

I’ve missed a couple of weeks of posting anything, because I have been very busy at work.
Where I work it’s our busy season so that means long days that are full to the brim.
Goes for a couple of months……….so we are almost half way.

But it’s now time for a new Just Add Ink Challenge – and it’s a goodie too!

It’s an Inspiration Challenge.  Here is the Inspiration Picture:

You can take whatever you like from the inspiration pics, colours, feathers, cake, swirls,
flowers or whatever else inspires you.
Here is the card I put together:

I really enjoyed this challenge and putting this card together.
I like the Peacock theme – as they are so “In” right now.
But I was also trying to create some Kaleidoscope cards.
The design team have created a wonderful range of projects for this challenge.
Go to Just Add Ink to check them out and share your creation too.

Just Add Ink # 229 – Inspiration Challenge

I just love the look of this Challenge – and I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone creates.  It’s an inspiration Challenge – and that means you look at the pic and then use it for inspiration for your project.  Here is this pic:

Great colours aye?  Rainbow are so magical and always a favorite.  Here is my project:

I made these flowers ages ago – way back in March actually.  And I think they fit this Inspiration Challenge perfectly.   I used them as decorations on the table at Sarah’s Birthday party.

When I asked her what type of part she wanted she said “A Rainbow party:……”no no no a dress up party:…….”no no no, a sparkle party”

So it was settled…….we had a Rainbow, sparkle, dress up party!!

Here’s some pics from the day.
