Social Stamping – Birthdays in Isolation

Image may contain: text

Hi ya and welcome to my Social Stamping Blog Host post!

The Social Stamping Blog Host’s are the idea of Kelly Kent.    The idea is that, through stamping and craft, we can share our projects with everyone, in order to stay connected during the global lockdown period.

The theme this week is ‘Birthdays in Isolation’.

My card this week is reflective of the way many of us are staying connected at the moment…..Zoom Meetings.

So – can you tell which one is doing all the talking??  And who’s Birthday do you think it is??

I have not used these stamp sets for a while.  They are called All in the Family and Family Favourites.  So cute and will be forever in my stamp collection.

While being confined to home, without friends, visitors or Birthday parties – we have had a Birthday in our house.  It was a bit of a strange celebration and although I tried to make the day fun with surprises throughout the day – Sarah commented at bedtime that is was a stink birthday??   😦

The card I made her was based on a text conversation…….being a teenager, texting can sometimes be a good way to get through……if you know what I mean?

  1. Oh I had a little giggle, This is perfect!! Love the teenage card too and it’s perfect as well! So true and fun!

  2. Oh, I love your cards! They are so clever & so right now – very colourful & fun….its a tricky time for everyone at the moment, especially when our celebrations are much different to the way we normally celebrate, my youngest turned 18 & got to spend it just with myself & his dad(unfortunately his older brother was away at work)

  3. I love the zoom meeting birthday card! So appropriate with how birthdays are being done and the images are so cute. I also love the teenager text card. Perfect for a teen.

  4. Awesome! I have been doing Zoom classes over the last month and can totally relate. Brilliant card Chantell – love it everything about it x

  5. super cute. Hope the teenager is doing ok! – hope you’re all doing ok. I have wondered what it would have been like if ours had been home during this time. I’m sure it has both good and difficult elements.

  6. Such great cards Chantell! I love how Zoom is something we all have heard of now and your Zoom card is so full of character and fun! And your teen card with thumbs up reply is so realistic of their replies. I hope that Sarah is feeling better about her birthday – it will definitely be one to remember. xx

  7. Snap! We’ve both been heavily influenced by Zoom over the past couple of months!!! Gorgeous cards, I love the mobile conversation – I can’t say I’m looking forward to the days when I get more from my kids in text than in person!!! Kelly x
