Social Stamping – War & Peace

Image may contain: textI’m playing along with Kelly’s Social Stamping again this week and the theme is War & Peace.

Today is Anzac Day in Australia and New Zealand.  It is a national day of remembrance in both Countries that commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations, along with the contribution and suffering of all those who have served.

Therefore, with a theme of War and Peace, my card today is an Anzac card.

I used a mix of chipboard, dies and inks to put my card together.

I also made another Poppy card, with my Poppy Moments Dies.IMG_1048

So what’s been happening in “Stay at Home World” this week…..well not much to be honest.  Work, school holidays and more learning to communicate electronically.

Last week you may remember I mentioned I went for a walk at the local park – an found that I was the only one there.

Well in contrast, the following day, I walked a local ‘old’ railway track, which I found it very populated…..obviously everyone had the same I idea and went out for a walk.

We took the old car out for a drive and enjoyed the sunset on the way home.IMG_1038

And the seeds in our garden, sprouted……very exciting!!IMG_1019

Just Add Ink # 502 – Sketch Challenge

Hi ya, here comes Friday and here comes the next Just Add Ink Challenge.   This week we have a Sketch Challenge.

Image may contain: text

For my card I used the Beautiful Moments stamp set.   It’s so lovely.

I used quite bold colours but kept the design simple.  I stamped onto Peaceful Poppies DSP and then cut the dresses out.  This is a fun and fast way to colour the images.

Blog Host, Friends

Social Stamping – Friend

Image may contain: text

I’m have enjoyed being part of Kelly’s Social Stamping project over the past month and am playing along again this week.

The theme this week is “Friend”.   I must admit, it’s been strange not connecting with my friends, in the usual way over the past few weeks.   I’ve still stayed connected….just not face to face.  The cards I have put together this week will be sent to my friends in the next few days.

The first card I have made, is for a friend that love Pinks and Blues.  It’s using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set with Melon Mambo and Pacific Point Ink.   I used the Medium Daisy Punch to cut them out.

Then I made a couple of versions of a card I received from Carolyn Tullett recently.   Carolyn’s card is the Blue and Pink one below.  It’s so sweet, with lovely touches of glitter and tiny pearls.   It’s been sitting on my craft desk in front of me and I look at it daily.

So my versions of Carolyn’s card use the Beautiful Friendship Stamp set (Granny Apple Green / Mango Melody / Flirty Flamingo and the Floral Essence Stamp Set (Pumpkin Pie / Mango Melody / Night of Navy).

So – what`s been happening in lock down this week??  Well…..
1.   While quietly working at the kitchen table, I was visited by a little friend!
2.   I went to the local park for a walk / exercise…and I was the only one there!
3.   I decided to record (so I can remember) that all the play / exercise equipment is closed.

Just Add Ink # 501 – Inspiration Challenge

Image may contain: text

This week the Just Add Ink Challenge is an Inspiration Challenge.    It’s bright and bold.

For my card, I picked out the colours and some of the shapes from the Inspiration picture.   I used some Watercolour paper and dies to create some colourful shapes.

JAI # 501

First, I sprayed some watercolour paper (with water) and then stamped ink directly onto my largest acrylic block.  I spritzed the ink block with a little extra water and then stamped it onto the wet watercolour paper.   I really like how the inks all blend together to create unique designs.  I also like the effect of the colours against the white background.

Here are a couple of other versions that I made.

Social Stamping – Rainbows

Lets get Social Stamping again……We’re All in this Together!!

Rainbows have become the symbol of connectedness during these times of isolation.  For Kelly’s Social Stamping Blog Host this week, we are following the theme of Rainbows because “We’re all in this together”.

Here is the link to Kelly’s Blog and the Master List of all the Blogs participating in this fun Social Stamping session.

Before I show you my card, I’d like to tell you how I have been staying Connected this week…..because there have been a few “1st’s” for me, in terms of Virtual / Online connection channels.

Work-wise – I participated in my first AU based Virtual AGM.   It was all done by Webcast.
Stamping-wise – I ran my very first Remote Card Class.  It went really well too and I was very proud of myself.
Family-wise – We did our very first family Zoom Meeting, across 3 different time zones and 2 Countries. There were lots of laughs and it was so much fun to catch up all together.

I made an animated card this week.   It has a dial on the side, so that the Rainbow comes out from behind the clouds.

I used the Sunshine & Rainbows Stamp set – which is a Retired Stamp Set – but is perfect for this Theme.

Blog Host, Thank you

Social Stamping – Thank you

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone, the 2nd Social Stamping Blog Host is here.  The Theme this week is ‘ Thank you’  and this is a great way to stay connected.

This morning I had a great stamping / crafting session with my sister.  We crafted and chatted for about 3 1/2 hours – which was lovely because my sister and I do not live in the same country.  I live in Australia and my Sister Nadine lives in NZ.

To make this card I said to my sister – Give me a colour combo.  The colours she chose are Pretty Peacock, Pear Pizazz, Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile.

Then I said, Give me a page in the Catalogue……She chose page 117.  And I pulled out the Stamp Set Beautiful Friendship.

And this is the card I created.
