Just Add Ink Challenge # 272 is Just Add……….Butterflies!!!
Well – I can guarantee from the outset that this is going to be a very very popular challenge. Let’s face it – we all LOVE butterflies. They are so intriguing and delicate – not to mention beautiful. So – get those craft things out and show us your Butterfly!
I used one of the Butterfly Thinlet Dies to create this. I decided I want to have a go at making an inlay butterfly. That means that I cut 3 Butterflies – one Black, one Orange and one White. Then I glued the Black outline down first on some card and then stuck all the little Orange and White bits into their rightful places. It’s fiddly and time-consuming – but I think the effect is worth it.
So here’s my complete card:
I made this for a very special person. Check out all the other beautiful Butterflies / projects at Just Add Ink – and show us yours too.

Now here’s a funny thing………you won’t see my card up on the Just Add Ink Website this week…..why not?
Because I had such a busy week…..I set about making my entry at the beginning of the week and in fact made 2 x cards that fit the challenge – and I was quite pleased with myself that I had got them done – well within time too.
And then……come Friday and I’m on my way to working, thinking…..”Oh yes, new Just Add Ink Challenge today”……that’s when I realised – I had not photographed the cards or got them ready to post. Oh dear!
Anyway – I decided to put them up here anyway.
So – the Challenge is a Sketch Challenge this week. It was put together by Narelle. I decided to use the Sketch for 2 x Birthday Cards because this week both my Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law have their Birthdays. So I did a card for each of them.
Join this Challenge at Just Add Ink, we would love to see your take on the sketch.

It’s Color Combo time at Just Add Ink this week and it’s a great Colour Combo too – put together by Kim.
This incorporates a couple of the In-colours, Tip Top Taupe and Lost Lagoon and then two very pretty blues, Soft Sky and Pool Party.
When I looked in my stash of stuff in my craft room I realised I did not have any Tip Top Taupe and the only Soft Sky item I had, was some ribbon. So I did have to improvise a little. Instead of Tip To Taupe I used Crumb Cake. Here is my card.
With such pretty colours (can you tell I like them) you HAVE to go and check out what the Design Team at Just Add Ink have made – beautiful. And then, join us for this Challenge too.
