Just Add Ink # 252 – Sketch

This week we have a Sketch Challenge at Just Add Ink from Kim.   I used the sketch as inspiration to create a card using a crimping technique.

I used the Painted Petals stamp set, inking some of the flowers in Perfect Plum.  Then I used a Dauber to add some Indigo Island ink around the edge.  Once the panel was stamped, I then crimped it in two directions before adding it to the card.

Here is the sketch  JAISketch005I’m looking forward to seeing what you create so don’t forget to link up with the challenge at Just Add Ink.

Just Add Ink #251….Just Add “Thank You”

Over the last few months, my sister and I have been luck enough to have some great friends around us. As we cared for our Mum, we realised what a wonderful network of friends she has.  We always knew it – but seeing them in action while she has been sick has been a blessing.
So this weeks Just Add Ink Challenge (from Patrice) has come at the perfect time.
The challenge is:  Just Add Thank you!
I actually made several Thank you cards prior to this challenge – and then realised I had posted them all off to friends that had been there helping and supporting.  So here is another I put together for this Challenge.

Don’t you LOVE this stamp set….I do.  It’s called Painted Petals (and I borrowed it from my friend Julie – hee hee).
So – I’m off to make some more Thank you cards and hope you can be inspired by this Challenge too.
You can create whatever takes your fancy, as long as you add some form of “Thank You”.
Visit Just Add Ink to share your Thank you projects and check out what the Design Team have come up with this week to provide you with inspiration.

JAI # 249 – Sketch Challenge!

The Just Add Ink Challenge this week is a Sketch Challenge, provided by Tina.

I decided to do something a bit different with the sketch – because I was looking at what shapes I could use instead of Hexagons.  Here is my card:

My little owls ended up a bit bigger than I had imagined and so they ended up taking up the whole card.

The other thing that is special about this card – is it’s my first ‘Card by Candlelight’!!   Hahaha!!

This week we have had quite a few Thunder/lightning storms and the power has been going off.   So I spent a couple of nights crafting in the dark.   I thought it came out OK considering.

So go to Just Add Ink to share your creation that is inspired by this sketch with us.  And while you are there check out the rest of the creations made by the Design Team.
