I’ve not much to show you this week because I have not been very well. Still not – so this will probably be short. I’ve been unwell now for two weeks and it’s really getting to me. I come and sit in my craft room but do very little.
Anyway……this post is really about the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge that is on at the moment. The colours are:
Here is what I did.
Great colours. Unfortunately my creation is not the flash due to not feeling flash. But I had a go. Catch you later.
In my last post I showed you the little Easter Egg box I put together for the Just Add Ink Easter Challenge. It was one of the projects the ladies did in my Wednesday night class as well.
The second project we did was a Bag-o-lope with a Bunny on the front.
Bag-o-lopes are quick and easy to make. They make great bags for small gifts too. The ladies had a lot of fun making these projects and there were heaps of Egg jokes flying round the table. Bit of a laugh.
The new challenge at Just Add Ink today is a Sketch Challenge. I had several attempts at this sketch and it took me a while to get to this card….
Although I used the sketch for layout – the real inspiration came from some Cards that my sister Nadine had sent to me. On Two of the Cards she had used Inspired by Nature. One of them had been done in a silhouette style along with Pocket Silhouettes…..so that’s where that bit of my card came from. Then on the other card she had used Inspired by Nature but in two colours….so with the two combined together……I came up with this.
I also thought I was a good blokey card so I am going to send it to a friend of my Mums – who has just had an accident and is just out of hospital. I hope it brightens his day.
We are doing Easter Projects at Just Add Ink this week. When I think about Easter – I automatically think Egg Hunt – so that is what I based my project on. I put together a little Easter Basket for the Challenge.
There are some great projects to see from the Design Team – so go check them out here.
The past stamping week for me, has all been about Easter…..and yes – there have even been a few Chocolate Egg’s floating around too. Lucky for me though – I don’t really like Chocolate that much – so they are still floating around here somewhere.
Anyway – we did our Monthly Stamp-a-stack on Wednesday night. The ladies had requested we do an Easter SAS. Here it is.
We used the Scallop Edge punch to make the little Zig Zag’s that are on each card. I decided on these colours because they matched the Tea Party DSP.
There is a NEW challenge up at Just Add Ink today. It’s a colour challenge. And believe me…..most of the Design Team found it a Challenge!! The colours are:
I had loads of fun playing with these colours. To start with I really struggled with what I was going to do. I find I don’t use Bold Brights very often. This is what I came up with.
I really liked how the colours came together.
Now – if you have looked at the Just Add Ink site you’ll know that this is not the Card I have on there…….that’s because after looking at it for a day or so I decided to do something else. I thought these colours where really really girly – and my little girl will be 4 and the end of the month so I used the colours to make her Birthday Card. So this is the Card I did for Just Add Ink.
I ended up loving the colours so much I ended up making another project with them too. I used the same idea from the first card to make this little Sweet Treat treasure.
Those of you that know me really well…know that I LOVE chippies! Shhhh it’s a secret – but when Sarah stays at Nana’s overnight I usually have them for my dinner…..Sshhhh!!
Recently when filling out a Secret Sister Questionnaire – I said on it that I love Chippies…….and yesterday – I got a bag of Chippies in the post from my Secret Sister!! Giggle Giggle. I was really excited.
Here I am with my chippies…..although now they are all gone 😦 Gobbled by the Chippie Monster.
I also received this great little hand-made Shoe…..which I just love. I wanna make them now too. That was filled with some lovely foot pampering products. Cute man.
Thank you to my Big Sister for these treasures.
Ohhh and here is a pic of my Husband – with a teasing little “I’m gonna nick off with your Chips” look on his face. He was teasing me cause I was so excited over a bag of chips….. but he does not know that I put this pic on here of him!! Hehehehe
