Picnic Basket

At the end of last year my Secret Sister Susan sent me a parcel filled with beautiful hand made gifts.  They are just gorgeous and filled with even more treats too.  I really really loved them.

I showed them to the ladies that come to my classes.  We ohhhh’d and arhhhh’d over them together.  They agreed they were beautiful.  We decided that we had to make the Picnic Basket in a class.

Last Wednesday we did our version of the Picnic Basket.

The template came from Papertrey Ink by Lauren Meader.

We used Chocolate Chip as a base and decorated with So Saffron and Baja Breeze DSP.

On top we made some Flowers with the Scallop Circle Punch.  These are quite fiddley – but look great.

Love that picnic basket! I tried these flowers 2 days ago and they didn’t end up looking like yours. Oh well have to keep trying…

    Hi Chantell,
Is there a trick to your flowers or just folding? Did you make any cuts? They are gorgeous.

Hi Narelle, I have used 3 x Scalloped Circle punch bits. Then cut them into 4 pieces, curled and then stuck each piece on. A bit fiddley – but the effect is good. I found Crystal Effects worked well for glue.
